Guide dogs can be life changing to the visually impaired. Guide dog users experience increased independence, mobility, freedom and socialization. The bond that forms between guide dog and handler is intense and one of mutual dependency. The blind client relies on the dog to guide them safely through each day while the dog depends on its handler to provide appropriate care to ensure its ability to work to its full potential.
